The Healing You Keep Avoiding

Many of us believe healing happens with time.

But time alone doesn't heal what we refuse to face.

The truth is, the pain we avoid often becomes the weight we continue to carry. We stay busy, distract ourselves, and convince ourselves we're okay, while old wounds quietly influence our thoughts, relationships, and sense of worth.

Healing begins with honesty.

It begins when we acknowledge what hurts, what needs to be released, and what we've outgrown.

You don't have to heal everything today.

You only need to take one step toward the truth.

One honest conversation.

One journal entry.

One prayer.

One decision to stop carrying what no longer belongs to you.

Because freedom begins where avoidance ends.

Reflection: What am I being called to heal right now?

Prayer: God, give me the courage to face what needs healing, the strength to release what no longer serves me, and the faith to trust that You are guiding me toward wholeness. Amen.
